



Beyond Boundaries will be a musical event with a twist, pairing immersive virtual reality technology with live musical performances that will reimagine what a festival can be.
It is a collaboration between VR platform Inverse, VR, AR (Augmented Reality), and XR (Extended Reality) studio Ignition Immersive, Music Victoria, VMDO and Moon Mother.
The project is a collaboration between Inverse and immersive technology studio, Ignition Immersive along with music industry stakeholders Music Victoria, VMDO and Moon Mother. The lineup is composed of the winners of the Music VR Backers Fund, a grant offered to Victorian musicians to work in virtual reality.
The festival will allow viewers to experience live music performances with unique viewing angles, immersive 3D art and narrative journeys.
Beyond Boundaries will be launching on the Inverse platform in late 2021, accessible on web, mobile and VR headsets.

Her debut record ‘Sa’, releasing Aug 2021, has collaborations with Melbourne producers Joelistics, Yelderbert and Bob Knob (HopeStreet Recordings). With influences from Bjork to Anoushka Shankar, it is immersed in a reflective world of different cultures and perspectives.
Assembled by Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cutie) at a writing camp in early 2020, Telenova evoke the elegance and feminine power of Lana Del Ray and Karen O, the sophistication of Massive Attack and Portishead and the effortless energy of Khurangbin and Unknown Mortal Orchestra.
Since 2017 EP ‘Pam’, they have toured with acts Last Dinosaurs, Tiny Little Houses, Angie McMahon, Yellow Days (UK) and played slots at premiere festivals BIGSOUND, Laneway, Spilt Milk!, NYE on the Hill and St Kilda Festival.
Despite the strict lockdowns, the band released anthology LP Everything, All At Once, Forever in November, and were able to tour much of Australia. 2021 has seen them play sold out nights at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl supporting Spacey Jane, as well as sold out headline shows.
The Melbourne incarnation of Fascinator includes renowned theremin wizard Miles Brown and percussion master Mitch McGregor of NO ZU fame.
Musically, Fascinator is a truly genre-fluid experience taking listeners to all corners of their aural selves within even a short set and has performed everywhere from Brooklyn toilet cubicles, Dominican festivals to Dark Mofo and Laneway Festival. Fascinator's award winning videos have always been a major part of it's output and stepping into the VR realm is an exciting development.
Luke O'Connor's voice and storytelling stands in the centre of a musical hurricane, with the energy of dual drums, guitars, hammond, backing vocals and a full horn section lending heart and detail to rare gems of songs. FOOLS perform live with command of both wildness and intimacy, and always an agreement with their audience to put on a damn good show.
FOOLS have received widespread support from community radio around Australia, making the AMRAP Charts Top 5 for 4 consecutive weeks with their debut single 'Birdsong', are recent recipients of the AMEX Music Backers recording prize and were lauded by Queenscliff Music Festival organisers as the best act of the 2019 festival applications.
